Looking for a mentor who can take your
business to the next level?

So, two guys are in a boat. One guy says he’s going to leave the boat, step out and walk on the water. His friend thinks he’s lost his mind as he started stepping over onto the water. And low and behold, he keeps walking on the water and doesn’t sink. He’s blown away. His friend who’s walking on the water
laughs and says, “It’s easy, you try it.”

His friend naively tries and of course splashes into the water, sinks, and then comes back up for air. They both get back into the boat. His puzzled friend asks, “How in the world did you walk on that water?”  His response, “I know where the rocks are!”

I think that’s brilliant. Don’t you find success in any area in life seeming to be that way? If we could only find out first where the rocks are, success would become easier.  Too often people try to succeed on blind faith and irrational optimism. If we take time to see where the rocks are, we can make the walk much easier.

One of the best ways to do this is to have a mentor or coach. Another way is to read, study and research the topic or area in life you want to be more successful in.  Trust me…the rocks are out there. Don’t get caught stepping into the water until you’ve done some homework and have
identified those rocks.

Take a moment and see, if there are some areas in your life that make you ‘feel like your sinking’. Is it parenting, smoking, health, diet, relationships, career, finances or some other challenges?   Don’t feel bad; we do start sinking from time to time. It’s called ‘life’.

Now that you’ve identified one or more of these areas, your goal now is to take the time and do some research to see where you would go to find out where the rocks are. This takes both your time and requires much effort. Is it worth it?  Well, what’s the other alternative? You’re right, sink, get wet and hope you can swim.

Do yourself a huge favor. Take the time and see where you’re sinking, even if it’s just a little bit. If you don’t take the time now, you WILL get wet.

By the way, during my travels, so many have asked me about business success coaching.  Because of the tour, I haven’t done much of this the past few years.  I’ve really only exercised coaching for a few select clients, and I’ve really missed this aspect of my business!
