Who do you listen to?
I’m here doing some work in the beautiful Bahamas.
You’ll have some people say when you go on vacation, you have to totally disengage from work. Then you have some people say when it’s football night, are you watching football or you should be hustling? Yet the same person that says that when the Super Bowl time comes, they’re telling you that you should just chill and watch the Superbowl, and you can work later on or whatever.
So who do you believe?
Here’s the thing. Not everything or every way works for every person, but here’s the bottom line for me. I have created a lifestyle for myself and I know that I’m an entrepreneur 24/7. I also know that if I was a dad which I’m not, I would be a dad 24/7 and I don’t disengage from ever being a dad and I wouldn’t disengage from ever being a husband.
The same thing with my entrepreneurship, but when I do need to focus on something or someone. I do know how to do that but I also know that the fact that I am 24/7 as an entrepreneur. It gives me a lifestyle that most people will never experience.
So how do you get to this point?
First of all figure out what the lifestyle is that you would like now. For a lot of people they can’t do that because they don’t believe that they’re able in the future or near future. They don’t believe it enough that they can make something like this happen.
So if you’re one of those people, where do you begin? You begin small, right?
How do you eat an elephant one bite at a time?
Do a little something, a little bit of dreaming that if you push toward it and did a little something, this is not a little something for most people.
Maybe it’s just you going to a beach and getting a hotel room for a night or two and just to get away. As long as you get that feeling that you’re moving the chess pieces in your life and controlling it the way you want to, that’s what you’re looking for.
So be very careful about listening to all the advice out there. You’ve got to use common sense. You cannot listen to somebody who’s a personal growth guru or so-called expert and they’re telling you that you should do it this way, when they don’t even know what your lifestyle is, your belief system is, and what your thought processes is.
So this is where you have to execute UCS, Use Common Sense.
